Meet Denise Johnson

 

Denise Johnson is the Founder and Program Director of Academic Solutions and Programs (ASAP). She is an 18-year veteran educator, committed to inspiring the world through innovative leadership, community service, and lifelong learning. Denise's educational background has proven to be a great asset blending both leadership and educational skills as it relates to real-world experiences.

 

As a business owner and former Assistant Principal of Imhotep Academy, Denise’s resume extends from classroom teacher, instructional coach, and educational consultant, to building Academic Solutions and Programs, providing S.T.E.A.M programming and other educational programs for small businesses through professional development. Denise has served in varied administrative capacities and is presently working to build a Center of Change.  

 

Her educational background initiated with undergraduate studies from Morris Brown College leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Denise received a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University, and a degree in Educational Leadership for the University of West Georgia.  She is currently working towards a doctorate at Baylor University.    

 

She holds certifications in Early Childhood, Middle grades ELA, and School Administration. Her interests in the community and Entrepreneurship inspired her to create the After School Marketplace, where youth are able to sell good and services to her peers.  She enjoys building businesses, restoring and beautifying furniture, decorating, managing.
